Ребят, без обид, но я понимаю, что из 4-х установленных ill help всего в одном, посему копирую (а не потому, что я такая умная), аж самой интересно стало.
Извините, без иллюстрирующих картинок.
Expanding objects
The Expand and Expand Appearance commands divide an object into multiple objects that make up the original object's appearance. Expanding an object can be useful when you want to modify specific elements in an object, such as the individual shapes that make up a 3D object or a blend. In addition, expanding objects may be helpful when you want to use an object that is native to Illustrator (such as a mesh object) in a different application that doesn't recognize the object.
Gradients can expand to either a single mesh object or to a specified number of objects. Blends and envelopes expand to distinct distorted objects. (See Working with gradients, meshes, and blends.)
Tip icon Expanding is particularly helpful if you are having difficulty printing transparency effects, 3D objects, patterns, gradients, strokes, blends, flares, envelopes, or symbols.
To expand an object:
1. Select the object.
Note: To expand a compound shape, use the Expand button in the Pathfinder palette. You can then expand the path using the steps that follow.
2. Do one of the following:
* Choose Object > Expand.
* If the object has appearance attributes, choose Object > Expand Appearance. The object is converted to a group of objects in the Layers palette. Target an object in the group using the Layers palette and then choose Object > Expand.
3. Do one of the following in the Expand section of the dialog box:
* To expand a complex object, select the Object option, and click OK. (Complex objects include live blends, envelopes, symbol sets, and flares.)
* To expand the fill, select Fill.
* To expand the stroke, select Stroke.
4. To expand a gradient, do one of the following in the Expand Gradient To section of the dialog box:
* To expand the gradient to a single mesh object, select Gradient Mesh.
* To expand the gradient into multiple objects, select Specify, and enter the number of objects to create. (Higher numbers help maintain a smooth color transition; low numbers can create a more banded appearance.)
5. Click OK.
