: Canon 5D / Canon 1Ds M3
: jwestveer May 26, 2008, 05:17:02 AM
I noticed that you used a Canon 5D in the past, but now seem to use the 1Ds M3.  I have used both and I was wondering if you found that the 1DsM3 underexposes a bit when compared to the 5D.  Mine does and it drives me nuts.  I am thinking of sending it in for calibration.

By the way.....OUTSTANDING photos !!!

Ciao,

Jim

thank you!

mine is acting just great. only thing i regret is i used 5D for so long instead of 1Ds Mk2.

i had no underexposure issues on Mk3 so far.

Hello,

Can you tell us what is there to regret when using 5D compared 1Ds when you are in studio or in general?

Heikki.

what is there to regret when driving Mercedes S600 compared to E350?

it's just better overall.

Mpix, Sensor cleaning, lots of other small things. camera is much better.

USING is the same, overall picture quality is better.

5D II will be bacisally the same as 1Ds. cheaper and not as good as 1Ds, but much better than 5D Mk1 and great camera for it's price. if you're thinking about buying one - go for it. 1Ds is much more expencive, so if don't know why exactly you need 1Ds, 5D Mk2 is maybe a good choice.
