I never got the hang out of Adobe illustrator, but I know my way, a bit, around Corel Draw 8 - good enough for stock as a program? SY

As long as you can save Illustrator 8 files from corel draw then there is no reason not to use it...other than trying to take some of my sales...why would you want to do something nasty like that? LOL

Yeah, make sure it can save EPS AI8 format files. Version 8 might be a bit too old for such compatibility;/ Not sure.

p.s.: I personally NEVER liked Corel. But I know people that can't live without it.

Hi there,

I'm just approaching AI now, but I have had some experience with Corel 8 several years ago, and still think it's a great app (and it exports eps v8). But for those (like me) still trying to manipulate paths on AI, the good thing is that you can pretty copy/paste your paths/curves/fills into AI. Then all you have to do is organize them in layers (which Corel 8 doesn't deal with).

HTH, cheers!
