If the first submission judging from the thumbnails isn't really what you're capable of, the second the third look awesome. The "try to impress us" sentence really feels like bullshitting to me.
I decided I won't wait this time. I'll be able to submit the test batch again in around 2 days and I know I'm going to fail. S++t happens, but nobody's going to make jokes on my work. And iStock really seems to do so with new submitters;/
