Thank you for your interest in Photokore, and for your questions and suggestions. All the feedback we receive from so many experienced microstockers has helped us to improve our site and service.
Photokroe has two goals: One goal is to give Asian artists (who can not read English, and thus can not register on other global sites) a venue to expose their images throughout the world. The other goal is to allow Asian image buyers (who can not search in English) access to great ‘non-Asian’ images – searchable in their native languages.
As you can imagine, it is very difficult to meet the needs of Asian artists (who want to sell in Asia, and globally), and the needs of non-Asian artists who want their images to be seen and purchased by Asian buyers! However, we are doing our best to meet the needs of these two very different groups.
In particular, we have recently received many suggestions regarding our vector file format, and have decided to change it to ‘version 8 or higher’. This change will take place soon (our IT team is working on the change, and will test it before we make it ‘live’ on our site).
With regards to Moneybookers, honestly, we did not expect to receive so many artists from regions where Paypal was not available this quickly. Originally, we had planned to add Moneybookers later, but besides you, many microstockers have asked us to add Moneybookers. So, this will be added soon!
Demand in Asia for images is not limited to ‘Asian’ images. There is a high demand for non-Asian images. The main problem is that the majority of Asian buyers do not speak/read English like a native. This is why they hesitate to purchase ‘western’ images on many global sites that do not offer their native languages. Photokore’s entire site is available in Chinese, Japanese, Korean and English. In addition, we have search can be conducted in Hindi, Thai, and Indonesian. We hope Photokore will make it easy for these buyers to search for images in their language, and for non-Asian artists to gain access to a market where demand for images is strong, and growing!
Regarding uploading your stock portfolio, we can open an FTP account for you or you can just send DVDs to my address. Please let me know which one is convenient for you.
