Getty Images is probably the best known global picture agency. You can submit RF photos of all price ranges to Getty Images. Your photos will be distributed via the Getty platforms Jupiterimages, Thinkstock and Photolibrary, perhaps via Photos.com too. Photolibrary was acquired by Getty Images in 2011, but still sells photos in the Asian market.
Getty Images generates very high sales numbers. Therefore, we strongly recommend you accept this partner. Some photos on Photolibrary and Jupiterimages are sold at very high prices. However, the majority of photos are sold via subscription at low prices and in large numbers. WE CAN ONLY CREDIT THESE SALES AS AN AGGREGATE SUM. By accepting these terms and conditions you also agree that Zoonar will credit all sales through Getty as an aggregate sum to your account.
You can already submit Photos which require a model or property release. However, these photos can’t be activated yet. For these photos we will implement a release administration tool at a later time. With this tool you will be able to upload and assign your releases. At first we will check all submitted photos which don’t require a model or property release and activate them for Getty if they meet the required quality standards. All submitted photos MUST have an English caption.
Terms of Service / Agreement:
1. All photos which you activate for Getty Images remain in the system for at least six months. Early deletions of accepted photos is neither possible at Getty Images, Photolibrary or Zoonar.
2. Zoonar is not obliged to pass on your activated photos. There is no long-term guarantee that your photos will remain online.
3. Zoonar is not liable for consequential damage resulting from the software or from actions by a third party or their respective external contractors.
4. Zoonar will pay you 50% of the commission we receive from Getty Images. The currency is US dollar. Due to exchange rate fluctuations fees paid in euros may vary even if picture sales remain constant.
Please note:
Zoonar only accepts RF pictures for Getty Images which:
a. have English keywords
b. have details on property releases
c. have details on model releases
Foreign language keywords and captions don’t need to be deleted! It’s only important to have additional English keywords and captions. Both the editors at Zoonar and Getty Images can reject pictures. There may be a waiting period of several months between the submission of your pictures and acceptance by Getty Images, because our partner only accepts a limited number of pictures each week. Therefore, a delay has to be expected - especially in the beginning. Once you have accepted the terms and conditions, you can submit your photos for activation with the Zoonar picture management tool. Your commissions will be credited to your account as soon as we have received the fees from Getty. The payment of commission to you will be made quarterly.
